Atlas Steel performs precision steel slitting services on all its heat and corrosion resistant materials. Our team performs slitting based on the customer applications for which our processed steel products will be used. Whatever type of steel you are working with that we provide, Atlas Steel is equipped to slit to your requirements. We work to standard mill tolerances on material between .010 and .135 inch thick and can deliver coils in mults measuring ½ inch to 60 inches wide. In addition, we can paper interleaf and apply top-side PVC coating for surface protection.

Atlas Steel’s sophisticated equipment enables us to deliver the highest quality stainless and aluminized steel, cut and leveled to customers’ exact requirements. Atlas is equipped to cut-to-length, blank, and level to your requirements on all our stainless, aluminized, galvanized and other coated steel, as well as cold-rolled steel. We can handle a complete range of material thicknesses, from .015 to .135 inch, from coils between 3 and 60 inches wide. In addition, we can cut your material from 14 to 72 inches long, and accommodate requests for longer lengths, as well.

Our Rafter electric resistance weld tube mill and BLM cut-off lines are operated by skilled associates whose attention to detail is focused on each order. Atlas Steel runs stainless and aluminized steel on the mill, producing sizes ranging from ½ inch to 3 inch diameters in wall thicknesses from .024 to .135 inch in a wide variety of lengths depending on customers’ requirements. Every order for our steel tube-making operation is tested and retested before the actual mill run commences. We put our tubing through a series of crush and bend tests to make sure the weld process is flawless. During the run itself, all welds are automatically checked. All tubing sections are numbered and time/day dated for complete traceability.

Atlas Steel can meet customers’ requirements for a variety of steel surface finishing and polishing treatments. We can provide you with material that makes your products look as good as they perform. We offer a variety of stainless steel finishes, including 2B, 2D, bright annealed and No. 3 and No. 4 polished surfaces. They are all available as slit coil, sheet, and precision blanks. We also provide specialty finishes that are used in the truck and transportation industry as well as architectural finishes for roofing, siding, and cosmetic applications. In addition, Atlas provides paper interleaving and PVC coating to protect critical surface applications. We also can PVC coat both top and bottom sides on our precision Red Bud blanking line to protect both surfaces throughout your manufacturing process.
